Dear Mr.Huang,

I’m Jack, a student in Class 2, Senior 3. I’m writing to tell you my opinions and expectation of the school canteen.

In general, we are satisfied with the clean and tidy dining hall, its delicious food and the good service from the smiling waiters who are always neatly dressed. However, what is not to our satisfaction is that the price of the meal is a little too high and that we can only have a limited variety of dishes to choose from. In addition, students often have to wait in line for about 30 minutes before getting their food. We would greatly appreciate it if the problems mentioned above can be solved as soon as possible. Finally, I would like to suggest to you that the food should be heated in time to ensure the students’ health, especially in winter.

Some Americans will spend two months cleaning up Qomolangma, which has been polluted by all kinds of rubbish, especially the disposable products. They hope their effort will urge other people to protect the environment. （34 words）

I live near a main river of our city which is spotted with rubbish of different colors. Seriously polluted, the river fails to provide us with a spectacular view, but occasionally sends out an unpleasant smell with the wind, especially in hot summer. I think the large population and the factories on both sides of the river are mainly responsible for the serious situation. When taking a walk along the river, people throw rubbish into the river and even drop waste from the tall buildings without any consideration of the environment. Waste water from the factories poses an even greater threat to the river.

To improve the situation, I, with my friends, have formed an organization named “Saving Our Home” which is aimed at raising people’s awareness of environmental protection. Our members are now engaged in circulating knowledge among people on how to make our living conditions better by recycling, cutting down on the use of disposable products and dealing with rubbish in correct ways. We do hope our efforts will make a difference to our environment.
