A Wise Woman Stone 《智慧女人的宝石》

   A wise woman who was traveling in the mountains found a precious stone in a stream. The next day she met another traveler who was hungry, and the wise woman opened her bag to share her food. The hungry traveler saw the precious stone and asked the woman to give it to him. She did so without hesitation. The traveler left, rejoicing in his good fortune. He knew the stone was worth enough to give him security for a lifetime. But a few days later he came back to return the stone to the wise woman.
   "I've been thinking," he said, "I know how valuable the stone is, but I give it back in the hope that you can give me something even more precious. Give me what you have within you that enabled you to give me the stone."
   Sometimes in our continual drive to get ahead, we forget that the those things we gather around us, no matter how precious they might seem, pale in comparison to the love and light we hold within.

一个在山间旅行的智慧女人在溪间发现了一块儿宝石。第二天她遇见了一个同样在旅行的饥饿的人，便把包里的食物分给他吃。那个人看见了那块儿宝石，并向女人讨要。女人毫不迟疑地给了他。那人欢天喜地地离开了，他知道这块儿石头的价值足够他享用一生了。但是，几天之后他又回来把石头交还给了智慧女人，说道："我一直在想，我知道这块儿石头的价值，但我还是要把它还给你，并希望你能给我一些更有价值的东西--你内在的那些使你肯把宝石交给我的东西。"
