Mother’s Day, which falls on the second Sunday in May every year, is a day for people to show their appreciation for Mother.  I used to send flowers or chocolate as a gift to my mother in order to convey my love and gratitude to her.  But this year I did something different.  On the night of Mother’s Day ,when my mother came home , I gave her a big surprise.  The minute she saw the delicious dishes I made on the table, tears rolled down her cheeks.  Although this was the first time that I had cooked , my mother felt that it was the best meal she had ever had because her daughter added love and appreciation to the dinner.
